Our tours will take you to Costa Rica, a small yet incredibly diverse and beautiful country located in Central America. Known for its stunning beaches, lush rainforests and incredible biodiversity, Costa Rica has become one of the world's top ecotourism destinations, attracting millions of visitors each year.
One of the country's top destinations is Arenal Volcano National Park, located in the Northern part of the country. The park is home to Arenal Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, as well as several hot springs, waterfalls, and hiking trails. Visitors may also enjoy zip-lining, white water rafting, canyoning and other adventure activities in Arenal's surrounding area.
Monteverde Cloud Forest, located in West Central Costa Rica, is another of the country's prides. The cloud forest is home to a wide variety of plant and animal species, including hundreds of different kinds of birds, butterflies and orchids. Visitors can explore the forest on our full day or half-day guided hikes in Monteverde's Biological Cloud Forest Reserve, or experience the cloud forest from above on our Sunrise or Extended Sunrise tour options.
Manuel Antonio National Park, located on the Costa Rican Central Pacific Coast, is another must-see destination. The park features beautiful white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and a variety of wildlife, including monkeys, sloths, and iguanas. Visitors can enjoy snorkeling, swimming, and amazing nature hikes within the park.
Parque Nacional Marino Ballena, located on the Southern Pacific Coast, is another popular destination. The park is home to a unique "tombolo" formation -- a sand bank uniting a caye or small island to the mainland -- in the shape of a whale's tail. Visitors may explore the area any time of year and enjoy the park's beautiful beaches or may experience sighting a humpback whale -- between July and November or December through April -- based upon this specie's migration routes. Enjoy a beautiful sunset, a nature hike or a specialized guided tour to appreciate one of the world's most majestic animal species in a natural yearly event, that will connect you to Earth and her cycles.
Near the Panama border, in Southern Costa Rica on the Pacific Coast, visitors can explore the mysterious stone spheres, which have puzzled scientists for centuries. These perfectly round stones, ranging in size from a few centimeters to over two meters in diameter, weighing a few tons, are believed to have been created by the pre-Columbian Diquis people -- who once inhabited the Golfo Dulce -- of which little is known.
Other popular destinations include Tortuguero, a remote national park located on the Caribbean coast, known for its sea turtle nesting sites; the Pacuare River, which offers some of the best white water rafting in the country; and the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Reserve, a protected area located on the Southern Caribbean Coast, known for its pristine beaches and rich biodiversity.
Overall, Costa Rica offers a wide range of ecotourism and adventure opportunities, from exploring its stunning natural beauty to experiencing its unique culture and history. Whether you're interested in hiking, surfing, zip-lining, or just relaxing on a beautiful beach, Costa Rica has something to offer everyone...
